Your Personal Information will be processed by us through electronic means.

In some cases, provision of your Personal Information may be necessary to provide you with the use of the Portal and related services (“Services”). In these cases, lack of provision of your Personal Information will trigger impossibility for us to provide the Services. In other cases, for example when we request your Personal Information to send you information, lack of provision of such information will trigger the impossibility to send you these information, but it will not have any consequence of the primary purpose of the data collection.

You may update or change your contact information online using the “Contact Us” form on the Portal at https://thespacehub.com, by emailing us at hub-admin@viasat.uk.com, or amending your member profile on our Portal at https://thespacehub.com.

Information Automatically Collected

When you use our Portal, we may use cookies, log files, or other similar technologies to conduct analytics of our Portal. For example, we may automatically collect certain non-personal information from you such as your browser type, operating system, software version, Internet Protocol (IP) address or MAC address, Internet service provider and platform types. We may also collect personal and non-personal information about your use of the Portal, including account login credentials, the areas or pages of the Portal that you visit, the amount of time you spend using the Portal, the number of times you return to the Portal, the amount of time it takes to load a page, the order in which the content on a page loads, and other Portal usage data. This information helps us to track and understand how visitors use our Portal, and to optimize, troubleshoot, measure, monitor, and improve the performance and user experience of our Portal.

Information You Post
Any comments, Personal Information, or other information that you post on public forums, private discussion groups, or chats within the Portal is available to other registered members of the Portal and may be viewed, collected, and used by others, including ViaSat. ViaSat is not responsible for the accuracy of any information contained in those postings.

Cookies and Other Tracking
We and our service providers may use cookies and other tracking mechanisms to track information about your use of our Portal and may combine this information with other Personal Information we or our service providers collect from you.

Cookies. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer, terminal, tablet, mobile phone or other programmable, electronic device on which you store, retrieve, or process data (“devices”) through your browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser. Cookies allow a web server to transfer data to a device for recordkeeping and other purposes. We and our third party service providers may use “cookies” on our Portal to facilitate your ongoing access to and use of the Portal, as well as to conduct analytics on and collect usage data related to our Portal.

For example, we may use cookies to remember your username and password, if you choose to store them. We may also use cookies to determine when your current session on the Portal should be logged out after a period of no activity, as well as for efficient management of the servers providing our Portal.
There are two types of cookies we use on the Portal: session-based cookies and persistent cookies. In addition, we may also allow vendors to use “third party” cookies for specific purposes on our Portal. A description of each of these cookies is provided below.

Session Cookies. Session cookies exist only during an online session. They disappear from your device when you close your browser or turn off your device. We may use session cookies to allow our systems to uniquely identify you during a session or while you are logged in to the Portal. This allows us to process your online requests and verify your identity, after you have logged in, as you move through our Portal.

Persistent Cookies. Persistent cookies remain on your device after you have closed your browser or turned off your device. When you authorize us to do so, we may use persistent cookies to allow our systems to remember you and automatically log you in to our Portal.

Third Party Cookies/Applications. We may also engage third party services to provide us with information that helps us improve our Portal and the experiences of our customers. These third party services may use session or persistent cookies or other applications to uniquely identify you via your user credentials while you are logged in to our Portal. These third party cookies and other applications do not collect any personally identifiable information other than the user credentials you provide.

Tracking Pixels and Other Technologies. We use tracking pixels, which are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies. Like many websites, the Portal’s servers generate log files. These logs record aggregate information about website usage such as Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser types, Internet service providers, referring/exit pages, pages accessed, platform types, date/time stamps, times of use, and page views, for example. This information is necessary to analyze trends, administer the Portal, and balance web traffic.

Disabling Cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but if you prefer, you can edit your browser options to block them in the future. The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your computer from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. Visitors to our Portal who disable their web browsers’ ability to accept cookies will be able to browse the Portal; however, some Portal features may not function if you disable cookies.

How We Respond to Do Not Track Signals
While most browsers will allow you to block cookies by enabling a Do Not Track header within the browser, our system does not recognize Do Not Track headers. However, we only use cookies as described in this Policy.
